Montefaro and Ponta Coitelada(20 km hike)

Freedom Luxembourg has just become Gallaecian Hikers.

Our inaugural walk will take us to Montefaro and Ponta Coitelada, in the Mugardos area.

Overgrown gorse and bramble often make Galician paths challenging. Be ready to improvise.

There is a hard climb at the beginning. The rest should be fine. Have a look to ups and downs in 2D and 3D.

HOW TO GET THERE

There are buses from Ferrol to Mugardos. From there, it is only a short walk to the starting point.

Alternatively, check the carpool form below (speak coitelada and enter).

We start from O Banho bus stop by 10:00. There is some sort of car park nearby, by the estuary.
