Under the epigraph “suburban forests”, last winter we explored the Gr\u00fcnewald quite extensively. We literally walked all the way from home, from door to door, a couple of times following different trails.<\/p>\n
One could think that, as suburban forest go, the natural alternative would be Bamb\u00ebsch. However, we are going to explore a bit beyond that this time.<\/p>\n
We will start from the parking at Fr\u00e4iheetsbam (freedom tree), at a walking distance from Strassen\/Mamer\/Bridel, and will head north-east towards the cave Huel Kimmerchen. Also in the vicinity of Steinsel, we will also pay a visit to the Roman Temple to then turn west towards the river Mamer which we will follow all the way south, then east, until we reach the starting point.<\/p>\n
As last week, some legs are not really frequented by hikers which means we can find ourselves in a variety of situations. That said, this one is pretty flat.<\/p>\n
