{"id":751,"date":"2023-09-02T10:23:46","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T09:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=751"},"modified":"2023-09-03T18:12:56","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T17:12:56","slug":"luxembourg-kiltwalk-2023-42-km","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/event\/luxembourg-kiltwalk-2023-42-km\/","title":{"rendered":"Luxembourg Kiltwalk 2023 (42 km)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Time to dust off your kilts as the most eagerly awaited charity event of the year is approaching: the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Lux Kiltwalk 2023<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekiltwalk.co.uk\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kiltwalk<\/a> is one of the largest charity fundraisers in the UK and has been a tradition in Luxembourg uninterruptedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/the-pyg\/luxembourg-kilt-walk\/294488461123533\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">since 2018<\/a>. This year we will be therefore celebrating its 6th edition.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers are collecting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/page\/ross-steele-1692645908988\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donations<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/pancreaticcanceraction.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pancreatic Cancer Action<\/a>.<\/p>\n<form action=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/page\/ross-steele-1692645908988\" method=\"get\" target=\"_blank\"><button style=\"background: #3630a3; color: white; outline: none; border: 0px; font-weight: bold;\" type=\"submit\">Donate<\/button><\/form>\n<p>We will gather in front of the PYG (Clausen) by 9 AM on September the 30th (Saturday) and walk of the way to the BOSS (Mersch) and back.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly speaking, this wee walk covers the distance of a marathon but it is entirely flat. Click on the links to obtain the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1v7rk2ICZ8RhMtx3IIUMnECFS45v0GhMV\/view?usp=drive_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GPX file<\/a> (merely illustrative, as certain segments of the cycling lane may be closed) and the elevation profile in <a href=\"https:\/\/freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/files\/luxkiltwalk_there_and_back_again_auto.gpx.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2D<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/files\/luxkiltwalk_there_and_back_again_auto.gpx_3D.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D<\/a>. Should you find the full distance a bit challenging, you can consider walking one half and taking the train for the other leg.<\/p>\n<p>Bring comfortable shoes, plenty of water and some snacks (you should be able to eat and drink a little something at the Boss).
