{"id":814,"date":"2024-04-28T20:53:56","date_gmt":"2024-04-28T19:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=814"},"modified":"2024-04-28T20:53:56","modified_gmt":"2024-04-28T19:53:56","slug":"the-fairies-hole-and-the-path-of-dreams-10-km-hike-in-the-gaume","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/event\/the-fairies-hole-and-the-path-of-dreams-10-km-hike-in-the-gaume\/","title":{"rendered":"The Fairies Hole and the Path of Dreams (10 km hike in the Gaume)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At barely 40 minutes from Luxembourg city and, yet, largely unknown to most, we find the <a href=\"https:\/\/parc-naturel-gaume.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Natural Park of the Gaume<\/a>, in the Belgian Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps not the most spectacular woods around, the Gaume hides countless little (archaeological) secrets that will make the delight of the curious mind.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s leave the archaeology for another day and do something just for the fun of it tailored for the little ones.<\/p>\n<p>We have combined two attractions in a flat and short hike: The <a href=\"https:\/\/travellersfamily.wixsite.com\/travellersfamily\/post\/le-trou-des-f%C3%A9es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trou des F\u00e9es<\/a> (The Fairies Hole) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitgaume.be\/sebalader-sentiersetbaladesthematiques\/LOD-01-0B43-3ZEA&amp;type=8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sentier des Songes<\/a> (Path of Dreams).<\/p>\n<p>Back in the day we even stumbled upon Excalibur, but I am not sure I will be able to locate it again&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Picnic half way by the lake.<\/p>\n<p>The ups and downs in <a href=\"https:\/\/freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/files\/fees_songes_auto.gpx.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2D<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/freeletz.lu\/freeletz\/files\/fees_songes_auto.gpx_3D.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3D<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.groupcarpool.com\/t\/vai97y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">carpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We meet at 11 AM in the parking space located at the intersection between Croix Rouge and Rue du Stade (north of Virton, as indicated below).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d3200.3757469961583!2d5.5477364921118095!3d49.62545401257938!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x47ea95746a3cee59%3A0x2acc3809c95c4547!2sLe%20trou%20des%20fees!5e1!3m2!1sen!2slu!4v1714332565950!5m2!1sen!2slu\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At barely 40 minutes from Luxembourg city and, yet, largely unknown to most, we find the Natural Park of the Gaume, in the Belgian Luxembourg.
